1979

The story began in 1979 when Hugh J. Chapman embarked on his journey in the water sector, becoming a Craftsman Plumber. With a passion for improving water management, Hugh J’s early work laid the foundation for what would become a long and impactful career. His expertise and dedication quickly earned him recognition in the industry for professional water leak detection services, setting the stage for future success.

1979

2000

In 2000, Hugh J. secured a pivotal contract with Sydney Water’s Active Leak Detection Programme. This milestone marked the beginning of a series of achievements that would establish Hugh and his team as leaders in water loss management and leakage management across Australia and New Zealand.

2006

In 2006, Aqua played a crucial role in mitigating the effects of the Millennium Drought by implementing innovative water loss management strategies across the region. This effort significantly reduced non-revenue water, conserving vital resources during one of the most challenging periods for water management in Australia. Hugh T. Chapman had joined his father several years earlier and assisted in growing the business and identifying water network technology trends.

2010

Aqua expanded its reach in 2010 by joining a global pipeline inspection technology company. This move enhanced our expertise and capabilities in pipeline inspection, condition assessment, and trunk main leak detection, allowing us to offer more comprehensive services to our clients.

2012

Following the devastating earthquake in Christchurch in 2012, Aqua supported the city’s water leakage recovery efforts. Our team provided essential services to restore the city's water infrastructure, demonstrating our commitment to community support and resilience.

2020

In 2020, Hugh T. Chapman established Aqua Analytics to address water infrastructure challenges across Australia and New Zealand. By focusing on combining the region's most professional team with cutting-edge solutions for water network management and leak detection, we positioned ourselves as a leader in the industry and a key asset in bridging the gap between water utilities' physical and digital assets.

2021

Aqua Analytics was awarded a multi-year project with Yarra Valley Water in 2021, enabling the opening of our Melbourne office. This year also saw the launch of the AquaLeaks Portal, a state-of-the-art tool that allows clients to view real-time field data, access instant reports, and seamlessly export data to their Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) tools, enhancing the efficiency and transparency of our services.

2022

In 2022, Aqua Analytics secured a multi-year project with the NSW Government aimed at reducing water loss across more than 60 regional councils throughout the state. This significant undertaking underscores our ability to deliver high-impact solutions and support to regional water utilities, reinforcing our position as trusted partners.

2024

Aqua Analytics continues to grow in the region and has become renowned for its level of professionalism and commitment to outsized results on all projects. The company has a diverse client list, across Australia and New Zealand’s most recognisable water businesses, consultants, and contractors.
